I collected seeds from a Tragopogon dubius plant. What is the best (and most reliable) way to propagate them in my zone 5 garden?
Easiest way to propagate Tragopogon?
Seed - sow spring right where you want them to grow.
Thanks! I won't devote time - and space - trying to germinate them indoors. More room for other things!
That's the way to do it - plant the seeds right where you want them to grow - maybe consider winter sowing them.
I wonder if it would be feasible to winter sow in my climate? Maybe I'll drop in a few seeds just to experiment. How long does germination usually take? (either method)
I've never grown this plant - got the above info from a google.com search. Maybe you could go to the winter sow forum here on DG and ask.
Thanks!
