I found this little gem under a wooden wheelchair ramp when I was cleaning. Reminded me of a black widow, but not black and without the red hourglass.
I live in Portland, Oregon, and this picture was taken in early July. Any information would be helpful.
Thanks
Brian
I have two spiders I'd like to ID - Spider #1
This spider is in the same family (Theridiidae) as the widow spiders; it is in the genus Steatoda, probably Steatoda triangulosa - see http://tinyurl.com/5234u8
They are harmless to humans.
