I have a spider problem. I don't like running across spiders in my basement and I'm pretty sure I will be killed and eaten by a large one while I'm sleeping, haha. This one appeared to be a little different, smaller for sure, than some other ones I have seen. I will post of photo of those if I get a chance. Any help identifying this spider would be appreciated. Thanks!

This spider is harmless; it is in the family Gnaphosidae (ground spiders), apparently the eastern parson spider, Herpyllus ecclesiasticus - see http://tinyurl.com/lr8wd8 for an image.
Cool, thanks for the help.
