Extending Where's Catscan to Whirly Purly & Dahlia's Flock

Lodi, United States

There are so many that have "gone over"...so many lost to the dark and malevolent power of so-called "Farm Town". More like the pit of nameless horror.....Their minds locked into the sterile manipulation of pixelated (or pixilated) images....

The Horror! The Horror!

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)

Miss Jest'e and Billy are both addicted to farmtown... LOL But we still find tome to come back ans say hi...

Speaking of roping Tomorrow is Billys last Rodeo until the finals in November... Will post pictures tomorrow...

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)

the fun and beauty of it Catscan... its green with animals that always laugh, trees always have fruit and flowers always bloom

Lodi, United States

But that's not REAL! Oh MissJestr, surely you must see what is happening...you will have to work harder and harder to find any satisfaction in real life...Real life is messy and unsatisfying...difficult and painful....dirty and meaningless....Uh....

Where is this Farm Town?

Clarkson, KY

It's real irritating if you ask me...can't get the hand of it. Not spending near enough time to. Nor am I willing...gah!!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

OMG (weeping and gnashiing teeth) I'm losing all my beluveds to 'Farm Town'. Guess this is just the end of a perfect era as peoples progress and move on in life and obviously trash and desert there very dear friends in the process, not that I'd say anything out loud but ok like HELLO we've SO been DITCHED. O bother obviously Farm Town is a hottie. BUT I've heard Farm Town has rust, and aphids and other scarey bugs and more bad stuff that I need to make up but DANGER! DANGER! ESCAPE WHILE YOU CAN dear friends and return to us ^_^

Lodi, United States

I can't get into it, either, grow/Dahlianuts....but then I don't like computer games or Las Vegas...And see the depths to which Moxon and Moxon have sunk. They threatened me with this.....

But but... there are no bugs, there are no diseases.. just harvest! Just buy stuff.. You can work for your neighbor and get money! You can, and I have seen it!

Richmond, TX

Sounds like a form of utopia slightly tainted by capitalism. Boycott Farm Town!

Joplin, MO(Zone 6b)

please no boycott.. i need neighbors! ZZ is right.. no bugs, nothing but sunshine & puffy clouds of joy.

Tho i do love my real chickens more.. I went down early to shut them in tonight.. they were cooping & chirping at me. Just settling in for the night. It was so cute.

Cmoxon - I do really like the colors in the first picture of yarn/fiber/ idk really what it is but very very pretty. Makes me wish I'd traveled the extra 45 minutes to knock on your door this week & see it in person! I so regretted not letting you know i was going to be that close. I'm finally close enough to meet someone & I forget my laptop.. forget to get phone numbers.. I'm just stuck in Pella.. with nothing to do for 48 hrs.

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)

LOL Farmtown is in Facebook and on Myspace... And yes I have 2 farms.. I hate Vegas as well and live only 45 minutes from Laughlin. I only go there for the rodeos...

see you all after Billys rodeo

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Two farms MsJestr?? I want 2 farms!! How did you do that?

I love my real chickens more too..

Rankin, IL(Zone 5a)

grey, I'll be your neighbor.. & ms jestr, Why am I not your neighbor?

So busy, only have minutes yo read and paly my farmtown.. then be outside with the critters & grandson.. I don't think winter will change any of this, just make me colder.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Grey!!! I can't believe you were in Pella! That is such a bummer! For goodness sake, tell me next time!! It's rare for people to be that close! I got to meet ZZ's daughter though! That was so cool!

I only play Farm Town intermittently - not more than 10 to 15 minutes a day, and usually every 3-4 days because I pick the long-ripening crops. I'm too busy!

Joplin, MO(Zone 6b)

CMoxon - I thought we'd be super busy.. it was suppose to be this busy little town. there was NOTHING in Pella! It all closed down. We drove near 6 hrs for nothing. The lake was beautiful tho. I'll probably be back that direction in a few months.. i want to hit the quilt store & a few antique stores in Des Moines. I love the hills up there.. its beautiful. I can see why you like it.

frans530 - i think i know who you are on Facebook.. I'll look you up right now! :) if I dont find you go find me on either CMoxons site or ZZ's or MissJestrs. :)

My chickens put themselves to bed tonight in mom's birdcage.. Nutmegs babies that is.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Pella is beautiful in spring for the tulip festival. Yes everything closes early. The Dutch Letters pastries from the little bakeries are awesome, but the bakeries have to be open to get one. Definitely let me know, preferably a little in advance, if you are coming around again. I start classes Aug 24 so I need time to schedule sometimes. it's a pain in the you-know-what but that's life.

Hills? We have hills? Where?

Joplin, MO(Zone 6b)

no.. all of pella was open.. that is open.. they have dutch days on Thursdays each week during the summer.. the problem is Strawtown closed for good.. The dutch candy shop closed for good.. the ice cream shop closed for good.. in June. The chamber of commerce kept telling me these were still open.. theser three things plus the meat shop & the bakery is what we went up there for. it was disappointing to leave all my chickens, cats & dogs behind to deal with someoen they don't know for something that messed up. Everythign else was open.. We'd had friends there the frist of June & it was all open.. so we had no clue & no warning nothing would be there. I doubt we go back to the Tulip festival. The people there were pretty rude. I'll probably just take mom on up to Holland MI to thiers.

there are major hills from Chariton to Pella! Gorgeous rolling hills full of soybeans & corn.

Rankin, IL(Zone 5a)

"Hills? We have hills? Where?

You really need to take a drive next door and see what NO HILLS really is.. we are you all ironed out.

Joplin, MO(Zone 6b)

o.. flat.. thats KANSAS. :) I live in Missouri.. so i really have hills.. but no.. 98% of IA was hills & when i was in IL last spring.. 98% that i saw was hills there also. :) I'm not fond of flat land... its boring.

Clarkson, KY

oh boy.....western Kansas....now that's flat...remember a road trip....the only scenery for about 200 miles was when a cow got out by the highway....ack...not my idea of scenery.

Joplin, MO(Zone 6b)

exactly.. hills r better. besides do u know how nice it was to be in an area where i saw less than 5 trailer houses in 200 miles! Just nice old farm houses that are still in use. Tho i do have to say.. i never saw a chicken the entire time. A few cows.. a dog or two. exactly 3 squirrels. but no chickens. none whatsoever.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I will not get into the flat land argument but i think south Florida has everyone beat. LOL

I am still fighting with the yarn---to think I once was able to crochet a Afghan in 4-5 days. Oh well I'll get there again

Joplin, MO(Zone 6b)

of all the places I saw thru the windshield of the truck.. i've never been to Florida. So I can't say on that one. and to be fair mom did say if we'd gotten a few miles north of pella it would have been so flat you could have seen for miles. :) I just didn't go that way. I stayed in the hills.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

We have "hills" in west and central Florida.

Clarkson, KY

wren ---South Florida has lakes and sinkholes....negative flat is still less flat than that stretch of Kansas. It would make a pancake jealous, lol.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

You have not seen the "prairies" flat grass land just north of the South Florida that you are talking about. , but up here in north Florida we are not flat, thanks to ancient sand dunes. Though no one would get a noise bleed from our hills. LOL

Joplin, MO(Zone 6b)

Can u not raise chickens on hills? I saw no chickens in southern Iowa... I did see the cutest baby rabbit tho.

Rankin, IL(Zone 5a)

Wait a min.. I am in central eastern Illinois and I can see all the way to the Iowa border..LOL
OK, exgagerating.. but not by much.. upstairs on a clear day I can see the town up the way that is 7 miles from us. we are flat!

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

I do actually live on a hill and was sort of being silly with Greykyttyn, but now I've started a hilly battle. Oh dear.

Here's today's spinning....superwash merino/tencel blend.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I guess I will need to gather a large supply of those special nuts to trade for special yarn. Will take some time. Which is good as it will take me time to be worthy of the special yarn. LOL

I also live on a tiny hill. Our area is one of those former ancient sand dunes.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Oooh, do they find interesting fossils there Wren? How is the crochet going?

It takes time to spin the yarn too so we can be slow together!

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Yes not far from here along the coast they have found a whold mammoth fossil and I have found some fossil also, a very large shark tooth-over 2 inches long, and turtle shell, and other bones.

The crochet is coming along very slllloooowww! Hands cramp and shoulder gets spastic But my stitches look good so I have not totally lost my skill.

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)

ZZ I have one farm on Myspace and one farm on Facebook.. LOL

Claire I am in love with your yarn, so is Laura.. She was asking about it today at work. She was suppose to be working and I caught her in your photo's looking at all your yarns.

Just to let you all know, I had an issue with my gall bladder actually went to the ER last Wednesday, they said it had disease. They scheduled me a doc appt on August 24th to consult with a surgeon. Fast forward to today, I went to my chiropractor (who does horses as well and is a cowboy), he asked why I had not been roping lately. I told him I just did not have the energy or strength to, he asked why... So I told him. Then he adjusted my back and took me into the laser room. He used the laser on my gallbladder, and I felt it. He said one in 50 people feel it. Anyhoo then he gave me a liver cleanser to try for 4 days... I mixed up my first batch tonight a few minutes ago....

3 limes squeezed, 2 room temp egg yolks, which I collected from my girls today and put on the counter, and a tablespoon of Black Walnut oil. Ok it was yucky... but if it keeps me from going under the knife, I will be really happy.. I figure what do I have to loose...

Will keep you all updated...

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh no!! MsJestr, I do hope all is well.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

MissJ - sorry to hear about it. I had a gallstone once and it was awful. Shut down my whole digestive system for days. Brutal. I hope yours cleans up well. Keep us posted!

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

MissJ hope everything goes ok, I had mine taken out last year. Went smooth.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Hope you are ok Miss J.

Clarkson, KY

Oooo....best to you, MsJ!!

Rankin, IL(Zone 5a)

so sorry Ms J... Now.. I WANT TO LEARN TO ROPE>> so bad.. I keep looking at the ropes at Big R and can't fugure out why they are so expensive.. tell me.. I hate to spend that much money when I don't have any for some thing that I "want" to do.. what if I don't "get" it.. I gan be such a goofball at these things.. can I learn to rope with something other than a real rope? can I stiffen a regular rope with something?

I really do hope you gall bladder responds to your homeopathy.. I have another problem and the meds actually are a GB med... did anybody know they do have a GB med.?. I guess the surgery is so "simple" they don't hardly use the meds anymore.. but if you quadriollion the dosage.. it works for PBC... Ursodol.. interesting drug..

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Very sad news. Peppy or Peppermint let off a pfft last night at something and it was pretty stinky for awhile. DH has 'had enough' and is going to phone animal control :( :( :(
