CLOSED: Any idea what this beetle (?) is

We saw this insect in Switzerland in June. It was less than an inch long and looked "furry".

looks kind of like our june bugs here but ours don't have "fur"!

This beetle is indeed in the family Scarabaeidae, that includes June beetles, chafers, and the like. Unfortunately, I do not know this species.
