My two little boys found this spider in our house. The red on its back scared me although I don't believe it is a black widow because of the shape of the spider and the red mark. I need to know if this spider can harm my boys or not. The red on it's back is making me nervous because it is so close to the look of a black widow. If anyone knows what it is please let me know. Thanks
I forgot to mention that is was pretty small (little less than half an inch). I took a picture and zoomed it in.

Does anyone know what this spider could be?
This is an ant-mimic spider in the genus Castianeira, family Corinnidae (running ground spiders) - see http://tinyurl.com/nohjdd for an example. They are harmless to humans.
