I am not trying to start an arguement if you do not believe in God and in prayer then read no further and you will not be offended. Today I read where a man wrote in and had a very good point to make. Here we are everyone around this country is finally joining in prayer and I see God bless America everywhere. That is wonderful but prior to this tragedy there werent so many God bless America signs and very large prayer services. So know we are asking God to bless America after we have taken prayer out of schools, govt, and anything else that may be a conflict to those that do not believe. They have even stopped the prayer before football games here. I dont think that what happened is punishment that is not what I am trying to say, what I am saying is I think we need to get God involved all the time not just as a last resort. Thanks for listening.

I agree. Interesting, down here in the south, prayer is much more evident all the time. At a local public school, however, it's a daily thing, which is uncommon in many areas around the country. They meet at the flag pole.

Sprout, You're right. So we have to encourage folks to be in constant prayer. One thing I'm concerned about is are they praying correctly. No, I'm not saying big fancy formal prayers but actual conversations with Christ. If you want to hear a heartfelt prayer listen to a child. Their prayers are genuine. I've mentioned this before but....there's a song called "Let Us Pray". And there's a line in the song that says "Just because we say the word Amen, It doesn't mean the conversation has to end, So Let Us Pray". That's what I'm trying to say. But pray from your heart,,not just your mouth. I'm sure everyone will not agree..that's okay! That's what makes our country great.
