Are the deadheaded Balloon Flowers, Platycodon grandiflorus, the seeds? Or do I need to leave them on the plant longer? How do I know when I should pick them off?
Balloon Flower seeds, deadheads or later
Venice, it's really important to leave the stems on the plant until the seedpods turn medium/dark brown. If you harvest the seeds earlier, the seeds won't be viable. Just before the seedpods open you can harvest the viable seeds.

Will it still bloom well if I don't deadhead the flowers?
It will give lesser blooms if you do not deadhead at all. If you don't need much seed, you can deadhead it now and leave
the last ones to dry on the plant.
Thanks so much! I will let it bloom and continue to deadhead the blossoms for now. Hopefully I can get my little plant to grow more before I leave the last ones to dry.
