Highmtn, I am having a hard time this morning getting pictures posted. The one above is from last year. With all your patience, I will try again.

Donna..

That "Queenie HH" is gorgeous! Does it stay compact like that? I do love that bloom!

Very nice planting!

Would love to see pics of your barrels if you have any planted. I am collecting them to share with MG's so we can figure out some pretty arrangements for the little city I live in.

Today on the gardening guy they even showed pots with thillers, fillers, and spillers ....lol that is how they described planting a pot barrel or garden for that matter.

Ok...this is not a barrel...it's a large planter, but same diff

Also, these are not all new. My house burned down 5 years ago and we are still in recover phase with the yards. I've lost quite a few photos, but salvaged some.

Every flower you see HERE is in some form of container. My motto is "If I can drill it - I can fill it"...drainage holes that is...lol

That PINK rose peeking out from behind the daisies is in the same pot...lol

These are just grocery store roses that I had tucked around my yard. Again...in normal 12" pots.

More grocery roses.... I love these little guys and when they close them out I can't resist them..

To the right of this tub you can see the very edge of another tub. That had patio dahlias in it and daisies. IT WAS SO FULL....

This was in a tub growing on a barrel ...does this count?...lol

Ok...enuff tinkering...I have to get ready to go watch my grandson.

The ground where I live now is sooooooooooo wretched that just about EVERYTHING goes into planters. I am tired of fighting my giant Cedar trees....their fine feeder roots eventually attack everything in the dirt.

Oh, highmtn sorry to hear about your home that would be awful. Thank you so much for the pics, love them all. Never thought about roses.
I am running into the same problem as you with plants around the trees. I have started lots of pots so as not to fight the roots. Problem is they are tropicals and I don't live in the tropics.....LOL
Maybe I should start annuals from seeds (could afford them then) and just fill lots of pots around under the trees. Hey thanks highmtn you gave me a great idea.....least I think it sounds like a great idea.

Back out to plant, wrap (getting ready for a swap), and ready for 45 degree night....yck!

Highmtn, Where the heck is Cliff Dweller. I'm guessing maybe the coast area.
I am sorry about your fire loss, The Queenie Holly Hock stays compact all season. It is great for pots. aThe fuchsia is beautiful, they don't do well here in desert WA, but I keep trying.

Donna
