CLOSED: Please help ID...What species of Sulphur Butterfly is this?

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

I know it's not a Cloudless, Clouded, or a Orange (Alfalfa)...it's much smaller...and when it's flying, it looks more orangy than a Orange (Alfalfa). I also never saw a sulphur with the "dash" marks running north and south along the outside of it's wings. I thought it might be a "Dainty Sulphur" from looking at pics in our books until I saw pics offered by member here at DG.
Now I really don't know...
It was mudpuddling in our Iris garden and didn't go to any of our flowers...
I'm attaching 2 pics of it...
TIA!
Susan

Here's a view where you can see the black areas inside it's wings from the sun that is shining through them (shadowing)...

Are you absolutely certain that this is not an orange sulphur? See http://tinyurl.com/l7pb5g

Hello Suunto,

I am so confused! Here's another pic of an "Orange" (alfalfa) Sulphur...

I have several pics of one that looks exactly like this pic...which I thought was a Clouded Sulphur! I attaching a pic of it in the next post.

This pic was of a butterfly that was 2 times bigger than the other butterfly in the 2 previous pics (which was just a tad bigger than a Peck's Skipper)!
I am definately confused....can you help clarify for me please?
Thank you :)

I'm going out on a limb here, but to me, this also looks more like an orange sulphur (Colias philodice) than any of the other sulphurs known to occur in Nebraska. Please bear in mind that this species, like many other insects, can have quite a wide size range - see http://tinyurl.com/ndrzs8

Thanks for all your time Suunto. I really do appreciate it! Sorry for the delay in responding...been very busy! :)
I will put them all in a folder for the Orange Sulphur. I'm just trying to organize my pics and make sure I'm labeling them properly. I do have one other sulfur butterfly pic I need to be ID'd, which I'll start a new thread...
Thanks again!
Susan
