40 bunnies in the house would be crazy! Sometimes I think it might be fun to have 4 or 5 but 2 really are enough work. And make enough mess.
What was in your homemade flea bath Blossom? I've always heard lavender is supposed to work really well to repel insects.
I think I would like living on a farm, with animals. With a small shop and a greenhouse to sell my plants. Now that would be the life for me!
See what the EVIL vole did today!
The homemade flea thing was 50% Dawn Dish Soap and 50% vinegar.
Does not matter what kind of vinegar.. but use the regular blue dawn! Then I chased it with a second bath of her regular dog shampoo for the perfume! 6 weeks and no siign of any fleas!
I am gonna put that stuff into my carpet shampooer if and when the thing arrives and do the rugs!
Farm life is good, but there are a lot of regulations that are a pain in the keester at times! Tooo bad some people dont follow them. They are meant for a reason.. however some of the laws and rules seem stopid!
Just dawn and vinigar? Thats pretty amazing.....sometimes the thing you'd least expect works the most.
Well Dawn is the stuff they use to clean wildlife after oil spills.. so that cuts the grease in the hair and man what a shine. I am assuming the combo kills the fleas! Like I said.. been weeks now and no constant scratching!
Does not matter white or apple vinegar, either way! I use the white cuz the dawgs blue! And her white hairs literally will sparkle!
They say you can spray the vinegar sin a spritz bottle like on bedding and stuff. or add a half cup to the laundry..
Seriously, I am gonna shampoo the carpets with it then chase it down with a regular carpet cleaner to odorize!
Thats right! I saw a dawn comercial with the ducks! They cleaned them after an oil spill.
I like using the vinigar too, it works WAY better then windex and is probably 1000 time cheaper. It cleans chrome and glass amazingly well! Or if you have and vases that have that scummy build up from where the water level sits, just give it a good spray with the vinigar and it'll all wash off like new! Use it for whatever you would use windex for. And I didn't know you could use it on animals too, it just goes to show we don't need all those dangerous chemical products to clean house.
The one thing I will never use vinigar for again though..........someone told me to use it
(the cider kind) after shaving but oh man....it burned like he**. And gave me terrible razor burn. NEVER AGAIN!
The Dawn cuts through oil and grease like a dream but many animals cannot tolerate it because it removes too much oil and they develope sever dry skin problems which can lead to open sores and more scratchint than the fleas caused.
The vinegar is something I like to always keep on hand. It makes hair shiney and actually helps with dandruff problems! Pyxle only gets advantage for flea and tick control and no baths unless she tangles with a skunk. Funny thing is she has less doggy odor than the neighbors dog and they bathe theirs once a week! Pyxle is going on 3 and has had 2 baths in her life.
Im very pleased with the 50/50 concokchun.. so far no excess itchin and no fleas!
Well, SW, my front yard looks like the horses got out and did cah-Kah every where. Dang pocket gophers have erruptions all over.
Way to go! Did the gophers leave yet?
They have not re-hilled! YAY! Looks to be working. Now to hit some other areas of the yad!
