blue silk today almost missed them as getting hot. missed my big pink one but it has more buds on it
blue silk variation
at first when i saw the one laying over i thought a white shimmery one which would be cool but its pretty either way
Very pretty Marie with the soft blue
Yes those are very nice blooms, I'm growing some again too but it'll be awhile before mine blooms.
yes it is pretty. was thinking it was totally white till looked closer. i love all mg blooms so. but i loved the glitter shin on this one.
In 2007, I harvested light and dark seeds from the Blue Silk that EmmaGrace sent me, and there was a lighter and darker version of flower, too. Hopefully this year I'll get to what kind of correlation between the two might appear. The darker version looked like Sazanami, and the lighter version looked like Akatsuki no Tsuyu.
ps - loved it, too - so gorgeous...methinks my priorities are backwards

Marie, do you remember whether the seed from which this vine of Blue Silk came was light or dark?

Karen - I have something like this one called Sazanami #1 from Onalee's. It has tan seeds.
Marie - thank you. It's especially interesting that this lighter version came from tan seeds - would love to know which kind of seeds come from the vine you posted here. So far, in my limited experience, I'm seeing a correlation between lighter flowers and lighter seeds, and also between darker flowers and darker seeds, in cases where I get both kinds of seeds and flowers from one vine of a given cultivar.
im thinking it was a darker colored seed but will find the pack and see for sure.
