I'm attaching 2 pics...I don't know if they are the same (but in different stages) or different...
I need to know if they are moth cats or butterfly cats...
I wasn't able to find these in my butterfly books to ID them. I still pray that they are buttefly ones though...because they are eating their way through all of my Salvia plants for the hummingbirds!!!!!

These appear to be moth larvae in the family Noctuidae; resembling the tobacco budworm (Heliothis virescens) - see http://tinyurl.com/mnwmr7 for an example. This caterpillar is extremely variable in appearance.

Bless your heart...thank you! Guess I'll be picking them off the plants bright and early tomorrow morning...Grrrrrrrr.
So much for hoping it would be a new batch of pretty butterflies...oh well...
