Egg Question

I have already thrown them out.
No these weren't cheap or at least to me they weren't-- a little over $3.00.
I thought paying on the higher end, I was getting the best.

It does sound like they were the culls from a larger producer. And possibly not legal.

Here in the Valley we have a very large egg producer. If you stop outside their gates you can buy a lot of eggs for very little--but they are the "checks" by which I think they mean, in this case, the shells are too thin to ship. The eggs are fine otherwise--and though I prefer not to buy from big producers--a flat of Jumbo brown eggs for $2.00 can be hard to resist.
