Henriettaaaaaaaa? Hello?
Oh gosh, I hope Catscan didn't send her to bed without dinner..
Greetings from Sunny California!
I just caught Henrietta reading "Lady Chatterley's Lover" to her little cousins. Entirely inappropriate. Of course I sent her to bed without supper...She tried to read them "Das Capital" this afternoon. Not surprisingly, it didn't hold their interest. And I just confiscated a copy of Joyce's "Ulysses" from her kit bag.
I am beginning to have grave doubts about Moxon's suitability as a mentor to young poultry.
It's not my fault! I used to read to her all the time, but this was her favorite book! I think she has been contaminated by the Berkeley folks. She must have detoured there on her way to Lodi. There simply is no other explanation. She was always adventurous you know....testing the limits....I did once catch her reading Pat Lawson's "Managing Your Ewe and her Newborn Lambs" but she said she was trying to see if Parsnip was in there. I tell you....she's a crafty one!
She's Here!
Oh! Did she go by herself? Did she behave today? Does she need a spanking?! A stern talking-to??
For some strange reason, I couldn't find my glasses anywhere.. Okay.. Look.. I just had them sitting right by her..
I had a feeling she was headed your way. The plot thickens...
Again, I have witnessed the divinity of the almighty socks...
I feel so blessed. I held the divine fiber to my cheek... I felt the colors... I let the joy abound..
All the while keeping an eye on Henrietta, who I cannot find right now..
The last time I saw her, she was conversing with the Modern Game pen... where, consequently, I found my glasses.
Is Tweety a Cattle dog? - Now there's a worthy partner in crime!
ZZ, you are totally crackin' me up!! She looks a little unsteady after eating all those pellets. Looks like she might have an upset tummy?
I don't know what to say.. I feel guilty for not being overly thrilled about this visit at this point.. I have no grandkids, so I am just not used to chasing kids around that get into everything. I'm sure in the right environment, she would be a joy to have around.. Ummm can someone please tell her it's just a vacuum, it won't hurt her and there is no need to make Tweety attack it.
Tweety is a 15year old Chihuahua Rat Terrier Mix. She has been patiently listening to all Henrietta's plans.. I mean Umm conversations.. I don't understand where Tweety went and why she keep hiding things under my bed!
PS. Catscan and I are entitled to an award for our acting. I scared me..
ZZ is not being entirely open about her reaction to Henrietta.
Henrietta insisted that I bring her over to ZZ's yesterday. And ZZ seemed please to have her come visit....but from the moment Henrietta emerged from my knitting bag where she had been noisily critiquing the quality and design of the newest demi-divine socks, ZZ has seemed nervous and on edge.
The first thing Henrietta did was get on top of the Modern Game Infant pen and start haranguing them on the evils of the Western Imperialistic Capitalist New World Order (set me straight here, but does that actually make sense?). It WAS a little unnerving to see the black clad, long-leggity MG gather beneath her peeping encouragement. ZZ grew very pale.
Then we went out to visit the "big chickens" in the yard , where Henrietta kept muttering about the oppressed Serama rising up from gulag of the coop, while castigating the Cochins for being soft, fluffy minions of the Oppressor (by which she seemed to mean ZZ). ZZ suggested that Henrietta might like a nice drink of lemonade before she went home...but I was already halfway to the car and Henrietta was too fast for ZZ to catch her before I closed and locked the doors. Honestly ZZ, neither my email nor cell phone are working at the moment....
I think we must hope that this is just a rebellious, adolescent phase...
Geez...I should've double checked that package before I sent it. I still don't know how they got her in there without me knowing. I am so sorry ZZ....I know you are a good housekeeper and I am so sorry she is being such a mess maker and all. Why, I should just buy me a ticket this instant and get out there and spank her sorry little feathers. She's totally accustomed to the central vac here. I have no idea why she is playing up like this. It makes me suspect another plot is afoot....
Catscan....we must discuss the further education of Henrietta. I fear she has been taken in by the literature in your household? Are you now, or have you ever been, a member of the communist party?
ROTFL....I can't keep this up....it's killin' me!!! My sides hurt from laughing....
I am starting to really have fun! I think you all have Henrietta all wrong. She is a love. We had chocolate, and played dress up... Well, she gave me the idea after I caught her wearing my earrings.. Well, you can't dress up without a pedicure, so we went to get our toes done.. we match now.. Isn't that cute? She loves my make up drawer!
Well, I must admit I am relieved...it does seem that Henrietta is just a normal adolescent exploring her options, rather than an incorrigible rabble-rousing activist.
However, are we sure that she is showing her true colours and not lulling ZZ into a false sense of security?
Thank you for taking her home Catscan.. I really enjoyed our visit, she is such a sweetie. She can come back anytime! You should have told me though!!
Uh Oh....ZZ, she is not here........
The bikini is just hilarious....and I can't believe you have perfectly sized sunglasses and all. Lemonade....I hope it wasn't spiked! Toooooo funny ZZ! She is having a whale of a time.
Wait a second....what do you mean she's not there Catscan....if she's not with you, and she's not with ZZ.....uh oh...
o my.. can't wait to see where she ends up next!
Whaaaaaaaat? She yelled as she was going out the door that you were outside Catscan!!! What do you mean she is not there????
Oh no.. I can't find her outfits anywhere..
Are you sure?
How close are you to the beach? Did she go to the beach in that bikini? Are there any roosters missing? OMG, I just don't know what to do with that girl!
She is NOT here. I am sick with worry. We are nowhere near the beach--although there is Lodi Lake....and the Mokulumne River--neither suitable venues for an unattended binkini clad adolescent chick.
Did she take her pinafore? Perhaps she is just visiting with the chickens in the yard.
ZZ you didn't let her look at your Dave'sGarden address book, did you?
ZZ--bar the door!
Goodness gracious how audacious! Is she wearing earrings? What is up with that girl now? She has some serious 'splainin' to do!!!
I sure hope she doesn't end up in a "Chicks Gone Wild" video!!
I am a little worried, I am terribly busy these days.. She is being good, following me around part of the day.. but she has been seen just "laying out" in the sun... I hope she is okay while I'm running around like crazy..
