Very nice; looks like convolvulus tricolor and ipomoea hederacea. Is that also a dioscorea (wild yam, maybe cinnamon vine) I can see there?

Maybe if you are lucky that ipomoea will reseed!

Love both of your glories Marie.

Marie - I think that rareseedman is correct. The first looks like an Ensign Tri-color. Very pretty! Lucky YOU! I can't get them to grow and bloom here at all. :-) The other does seem to resemble an I. hederacea. (That one is very invasive in my yard and produces tons of seeds!) Pretty little blue bloom, though. :-)

that is the first convo i have had to bloom. buy them every year and they come up and promptly die. this one was one i thought was dead so didnt think about it anymore and it blooms on me. hehe

Yeah ... those species seem to be a bit elusive. I've grown two batches of them and never got a single bloom worth even photographing. Such boogers!

they are. i just forgot this one and that seemed to do the trick. its in the shade part of the day and not in the best place but maybe its happy.

Apparently so, since you actually got a bloom! LOL!
