At first I thought it was chewed but after examining it close it wasn't, definitely just the shape of the flower.

That's a pretty cool looking bloom ya got there, Ronnie! :-) I hope to see more future bloom photos from that vine! :-)

Hey Ronnie, what a way cool flower! Are all the flowers on this vine identical to what you showed above? I would enjoy growing this one if you get extra seeds to trade!

So far it has only been one, I am keeping a close eye on it though!! LOL

Ronnie, really sweet looking form and colour.. kinda like a cross between an I.nil I have seen ( white) and the I. Purpurea I have seen of yours.. ( Just my thoughts)

Ronnie - Are the other blooms normal in shape?

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

This one showed up today, a bit ruffled at the edge.

nice... wonder if the ruffles will separate?

Ronnie - Is this an I. purpurea? If so, it looks a little like Milky Way. Love the ruffled edges! :-)

Yes Becky, I think it is Milky Way, although I never planted them.
