Nuts for Daylilies RoundUp

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Great shots, Kathy! It's fun to see so many familiar faces! What a nice time you guys had, and I'm so glad the skies cooperated!

Remember - September 19th at our place!!

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

Liza, sorry I missed this thread last night. I should have looked before starting another http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1016820/ Lets keep it all here.
I had a great time, thanks Karen. Your gardens are amazing. The few hours were not enough to fully appreciate everything and chat with everyone, I don't think I sat down once, lol.
I'll have to bookmark this thread to put faces to names.
Can someone tell me what this is? It was next to the Echinacia.

I just saw Andy's pic of the garden on the other thread, WOW, that's alot of daylillies!

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks, Boo. I had tentatively labeled it as Malva.
Jumper, that pic doesn't show half of the gardens.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

That's what I figured! That small taste looks great.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Looks like a great time. The sun just had to shine for you guys. Gorgeous gardens and happy people, that's the best time you can have. Wish I could get to one, someday. Thanks to you all for posting the pics.

Thomaston, CT

Sorry I'm just posting, but we just got home from Plymouth & the Cape. I'm afraid I don't know the name of the DLs, & these are just a few of my favs----what I couldn't get was the indication of the size of the blooms---most of them are huge!

The dark ones are a nice foil for the yellows....

Marilyn, great pics. Thanks for posting your DH's family historic house!! So glad he got to be there.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks, everyone, for coming to my RU and for posting all the lovely pics (I accidentally erased all mine off the memory card). I'm so glad everyone had such a good time, as did I. And the weather was absolutely perfect. Couldn't ask for better, actually.

Marilyn, that first bright orange DL you posted a picture of is Wild One. The next pic of the dark DL is Latin Lover. Then that salmon colored one with the eye is Zagora. The last bright orange is Big Spender. They are all some of my favorites. I'm glad you liked the motel I recommended and that you got to see your DH's ancestral home.

Kathy, I actually have over 900 named varieties of DL's, and that's not counting all the NOID's and my late mother's seedlings.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Great pictures everyone, sorry I missed it! Daylilies, as everyone knows are one of my favorites. Karen you really have some beauties!! I fear I would of been 'high' all day in your gardens!! lol Hopefully the next time I get to Mass. I can stop by, I would love to see them all.
BTW, Robin, thats a perfect shot of 'Wild One'...it's one of the older varieties and a favorite of mine.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Celeste, I wish you had been here, too! You are welcome to stop by whenever you want.

Thank you Karen, I would love to, last week I just couldn't.

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

I have a few nice shots that need editing. Time is the issue, I'm working again woohoo.
I'm so glad we had perfect weather, todays rain would have been a disaster.
Pixie, think DL nirvana.

I have the same problem with finding the time, Andy. I don't do a lot of editing since I've found out how to use my camera's manual controls. Now I get good exposures most of the time, and if I'm in doubt (as sometimes you can't always tell till you get them on the computer screen), then I bracket the exposures just to be sure.
