Well, it's not a guy, and that's not a stinger but an ovipositor. It's a Camel cricket of some kind (Rhaphidophoridae). There's even one called a Greenhouse Camel Cricket:

I went back out and started to unscrew a screw out of a 2x4 and looked over and he was gone!!!!!
I felt like he was on me all afternoon, you know that feeling like something is crawling on you but you can't find it!!!LOL

My neighbor said he traded his Cadillac in for a economy model,I had my doubts!!!
He said it ran on water!!!!
And there has been some strange noises coming from his garage!!!!
And now a camel cricket shows up!!!!

Fresno, CA(Zone 9b)

Aaah, but Tropicman, this is a "greenhouse camel cricket," not a "garage camel cricket." We know it's a greenhouse variety as you found it in your greenhouse.

Not to worry!
Linda

LOL your so right!!
But the first time I step into something, that I don't recognize what it is,I'm going straight next door, and have a talk with someone!!!!LOL

Those are very common in my area, but I had never seen one where I grew up fifteen miles away. Some call them 'snickets' for the spidery-crickety look. Seriously creepout inducing. They hop!

Well I found him dead in my watering bucket this morning, its a 20 gallon tub I use to pump water ,to water my plants in the winter time, must have drank himself to death!!!!

Miami, OK(Zone 6a)

Here in Oklahoma they call them "cave" crickets. They don't make any noise and they look like they are right out of the "Men in Black" movie.

BTW, when they can't find food, they will start eating themselves.

ugh, these are seriously creepy! I rented a house once that had just a dirt basement. Was infested with MANY bugs, this one included. not only do they jump, but they seem to jump AT you. Ha, i put my shoe on one morning, and there was one inside. I freaked out and learned to always "thump" my shoe on the floor first to expel any residing bugs!
in the image was a "small" one, as some were very large!

I just watched a show last night called the monster inside me,the bugs you can;t see, such as a single cell ameba went up the nose young boy, while he was water skiing,he never knew it entered him 10 days later he passed away, from brain swelling, the parasite would mutate so fast drugs couldn't kill them, man its scary out there enough the bugs you can see,now you have to be careful what you can't see!!!!

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

By the way, I put out sticky traps under my laundry area and refrigerator and that really helped cut down the population.

Fresno, CA(Zone 9b)

WOW, Slverskigh, look at the length of those legs and those antennae on that guy! Pretty, graceful little thing. Eeeeeew!

Yeah, yeah, I haven't stopped watching your creepy little thread, Tropicman. It's been too much fun, LOL. And, I purposely didn't watch that little program, purposely! I figured I'd hear about all the things crawling into my body without notice and just didn't want to know.

BTW, speaking of things crawling into you. A number of years ago I had foot surgery following an OJI (security guard in ER backed into me, stepped on my foot). It didn't heal well. Ultimately it became apparent it was infected and we learned it was a Nocardia infection. Nocardia is common in soil, but not generally "caught" unless one's immune system is severely compromised as in AIDS. It is actually quite common, apparently, in hunting dogs. Well, well, uh, the diagnosis was made while I was in the middle of chemotherapy, which, of course, compromises the immune system, like duh! So, I was undergoing chemotherapy and an IV antibiotic specific to this little bug. The antibiotic treatment, BTW, was a daily infusion for 4 or 5 months, as I recall. This guy does not give up quickly. My employer was kind enuf to pay my salary during those four months, which helped with my disability timelines, LOL.

So, I was invaded by a bug which ordinarily wouldn't cause a problem except for a compromised immune system. Like, how lucky to be one of fewer than 1,000 a year infected in the US by this bug. How lucky indeed! LOL!

I use to use sticky traps.guess I'll have to find me some more!!!

Linda, I hear you!!!
I had 5 by-pass in 2004,had heart attack,went to the ER,they said no you didn't,just indigestion!
I said no way,I ain't leaving until you call my Cardiologist ,because I had one in 1994,and they did a Angy on me,had 3 clogged arteries, they could only open 1 back up 30%,he said I needed a triple by-pass,and I said no.because there always wanting to do surgery to often and I thought I could go a few years more, any way, they took 5viens from my legs, one was under my knee area, when I came home from the hospital after 3 days after surgery,I caught a infection ,it swelled up like a ballon, called my surgeon,he had already left the country to Fiji,so I just squeezed the infection out where the cut was made every day for 2 weeks, until it finally healed up by itself,my concerns was being diabetic, wasn't sure if my body could fight the infection off.
Now with the new health system about to happen,I might have even got the 5 by-pass!!!

Fresno, CA(Zone 9b)

Eeeeeeew, Tropicman,

Quoting:
squeezed the infection out

I cannot even imagine managing an infection like that! Unbelievable!!! You are a brave soul, guy! Well I'll tell ya', having a mediport and undertaking a daily infusion left me feeling much safer than handling it your way. That said, I'm not sure I was, but hey! If you're a bug trying to live inside my body, you can just hang on until I run out of options, 'cause I'm going to do everything I can to make sure you're "out'a there!"

Dang, you sure went through it, didn't you? Man o'man o'man!

You take care of yourself and do the best you can to keep control of those greenhouse camel crickets. Keep us posted if you end up running over to your neighbor's to figure out what you've just stepped in. LOL
