I call these ghost spiders b/c they are powdery white, and I usually see them at night. Does anybody know the real name? Thanks!

Not sure what kind of spider it is, but if it eats june bugs, it must be a good guy.
This looks like if could be an orb weaver (family Araneidae) in the genus Araneus. There are many species in this genus, so I'm not sure about an exact ID. Perhaps someone else knows.
It is very difficult to make a specific i.d. from images such as these, unless the spider in question is so distinct that it cannot be confused with anything else.
