KK - Well ... I wouldn't say they are perennials. The I. purpureas will most likely come back next year for you as volunteers. The I. nil likely will have to have the seeds collected and stored indoors over the winter and then planted in the Spring for more. And of course, with seed trades, you will get other interesting cultivars that you will also enjoy! It's an obsession, so be careful! LOL LOL LOL
