This beetle is a long-horned wood-boring beetle (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) in the subfamily Prioninae; likely Prionus laticollis, known as the broad-necked root borer - see http://tinyurl.com/l9o3ox for an image. Their larvae feed on the roots of trees, and sometimes an be quite damaging.
