The passengers of United Flight 93 that crashed in Pennsylvania, proved the extent to which average American citizens are willing to act in order to protect/defend this country, as well as the fact that heroism is still alive in America. Below is a link I rec'd. in an email this a.m., for a petition, to be presented to Congress, asking that the heroes of Flight 93 be given the Congressional Gold Medal for their acts of bravery. I never knew them, but they are some of my heroes.

thanks Bloomer, I really think we need to make the people on all flights heroes. I know some of them didn't do what we know those in PA did, though. but they are all my heroes.

Spoke about this on another thread and I heard on the news that these brave men and the passengers on board the ill-fated flight are to receive the highest US commendation awarded to a civilian. We will remember them!
