Last winter my turnips were badly damaged by these small millipedes. I thought it was wireworms, and maybe they caused the initial damage that allowed these to enter, but the major damage appears to come from these things. They are tiny - from 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch long - and they burrow clear into the center of the roots. When disturbed they curl up in a spiral, just like other millipedes. They appear to have pale legs. Anybody know anything about these? I've inoculated my soil with predatory nematodes, but now the millipedes are appearing again.
