Ric, Wasn't there a song in "Hair" about a 16 year old virgin? Got to get the tape out, OH Darn! forgot I don't have a tape player in my car, looks like I need to order another CD from Amazon.
Storm, Clay, I have some japanese beetles but not like I had last year or 2007, but I heard they are really bad north-west of me.
Night Picture of Caladium leaf. Gingerland.
Into the night
These are some beautiful pictures. The first one of the arbor is absolute perfection. It looks like a fairy land. My arbor is new and bare as a baby's little bum.
I am nnnn-veeee-usssss!
Pam
I don't know how ya'll do it...I suppose a tripod and the timer would do the trick but this lame-o one will have to do for now....THIS is fragrance over load....probably 4-5 different night & day fragrant plants (Brunfelsia, Bouvardia longiflora, Orange Jasmine, Tabernaemontana divaricata, and another 2 jasmines) blooming their fool heads off now...I could just sit out there and hyperventilate.....
Oh Chantell they look so inviting. I just might show up at your house tonight and sit and smell the flowers. LOL I seriously need more Jasmine.
Should you want some cuttings all ya gotta do is tell me... ^_^
Tomarrow's headlines
" Woman found with big smile on face, among Jasmine, cause of her demise..........hyperventilation."
Maybe next year, might have the GH up and running and hopefully some of the new flower beds in the back yard done. So I could get a nice mix of hardy and tropical cuttings.

LOL lg !
Tabernaemontana divaricata,
is badly in need of a nickname. I didn't even want to type it ONCE, I used copy/paste...you must love it to keep typing that out and remember how to spell it.
Chantell, those pix are way cool.
Chantell is our jasmine Queen! "Long live the queen!" Very pretty, If I didn't have to overwinter them, I'd jump on the jasmine band wagon, but running out of room.
No pictures, but I was out in the hot tub last night enjoying the meteorite showers,( spotted 6) and getting a whiff of night scented phlox. Heaven!!!!
Oh LadyG, what a great night. We haven't been watching the showers as we have had cloudy skies. I miss the hot tub ours still isn't fixed, I expect it will be sometime before fall. Both Josh and Jamie are working too many extra hours to ask them to come but Ric's hand is definitely improving and he is able to do more and more all the time. I had thought I would want a roof over my hot tub until I had one and realized what a perfect spot for sky watching it was.
Chantell, beautiful, beautiful.
Oh myyyyyy....to have a hot tub beneath a clear sky and watch mother nature on her big screen tv....
It sure beats sitting out in the yard and getting bit by mosquitoes.
Holly, I hope you get yours fixed soon, I know Ric used it a lot.
Well, I never got out into the garden at night to look at the Nocturnal Daylily. Oh Well, there's always next year. Funny, the Japanese Beetles hardly showed up at all. I saw 3 of them on my Basil and a few must have been chewing on my Crape Myrtle, but I never saw them.
Some of the Ladybugs stayed in my yard as usually I see a couple a day. Don't know about the lacewings. Most of my plants seem to have hardy any aphids and thrips like before but I did come across some hugh black thrips on a sunflower yesterday.
I was out for dinner with a friend tonight and came home after dark. I usually don't come in from the front parking area at night so I haven't really seen this side of the front arbor at night. Ric had the lights on for me and it just looked so magical. I had Ric come out and take a few night pics for me.
pretty!
I love love the night creature sounds, and that they vary through the summer. Toads are pretty quiet now but katydids are singing and crickets are good.
So do I Sally, the frogs were so loud a couple of weeks ago that you could hear them in the house with all the doors and windows closed.
NICE pics...love that look
