While visiting Austin in May, I took some pictures of what seemed like a rainbow dragonfly display :)
I would appreciate if anyone knows or can confirm my suspicions on these cute little guys - there is 3 of them.
This think this one might be Little Blue Dragonlet http://davesgarden.com/guides/bf/showimage/3374/

I assume this one is a Scarlet Skimmer http://davesgarden.com/guides/bf/showimage/9375/
And this one I'm not sure about either - maybe a Roseate Skimmer? http://davesgarden.com/guides/bf/showimage/1508/
Thanks for any help you can offer. Susanne
The first one certainly looks like a little blue dragonlet and the third one looks more like a roseate skimmer than anything else - see http://tinyurl.com/lg2sdh. However, the second one is unlikely to be a scarlet skimmer (it’s range is farther east). It is more likely a flame skimmer (Libellula saturata - see http://tinyurl.com/ku8mju); other possibilities include the neon skimmer (Libellula croceipennis - see http://tinyurl.com/lsmvqy).
