I took these photos through the window so they're not the best. My Anna's and a Rufous.
WESTERN HUMMINGBIRD VOL. 4
oh Wow! I would just love to see both of the hummers; the anna's and the rufous! I love the 3rd photo. Excellent shot! Very nice!
I got a first look at... I think the male black-chinned hummingbird yesterday. I decided to use sugar water instead of the nectar in the feeders, and all three of the hummingbirds showed up, and kept coming back until their bedtime. We have 4 hummingbird feeders though because they fought over the one we just had up before. Good thing your hummers all share:)
Love the shower picture, Duc. How in the world do you find the rufous and the Anna's at the same feeder at the same time? I know it can't be that common an occurrence. My hummers don't even share amongst themselves in the same species.
Wonderful shots guys!!
Duc, Thanks for starting the new thread.
yeah, you must have some Gooooood stuff in that feeder!
Nice Shot's All! Love the fountain shot duc. :)
Sweet pics dirt!
Awww, I love that picture dirt. Peek a boo, how cute :|)
Teresa, I love your Black-chinned photos and that feeder is so pretty. I had a Blk-chinned here for the first time last month, but it just stayed a couple weeks-pretty birds!
Dirt, that "peek" photo is adorable! The hummers love bathing in the wet leaves of the shrubs at our house. They look so cute when they scrunch down on the wet leaf then fly to a trellis and shake off the water. My hubby loves it when he's sprinkling the lawn and the hummers fly through the water right up to the nozzle. Love the delphs too!
One of my show-off girls. Think she loves to pose and hear the click of the camera.
All my hummers fight constantly, the Rufous are just a little more agressive than the Anna's though. They all have to fight for a spot on the feeders with so many baby Orioles still here. These two photos are a first for us in 6 years that we've been here.
The hummers have never been able to drink at the same time the Orioles are too-until now.
Oh that is just the neatest thing I've ever seen duc! I am so glad you got to capture that, and share it. I guess they were both really hungry. Nice picture. That's so... not odd, but different from what you'd expect them to do. You'd think the hummer would fly away. Very intriging picture.
Those are cool pics duc! I would think it was Christmas if I saw that.
Beautiful pics dirt! so many nice plants. Love the fuchsia too!
Very nice series of photos, Dirt.
Duc, that hummer looks like he's taking a ride on a swing.
