CLOSED: beetle eating holes in all my plants

please help me idenify this bug!?!:!he is tearing holes in everything in my flower garden. he has not touched the cucumbers,tomatoes, green peppers or the daylilles. he has torn up my little zinnias, butterfly bush and i even found one on a cedar tree in our yard. i thought every bug didn't like cedar...PLEASE HELP!?!?!?

The image is too fuzzy for a positive i.d.; it most likely is a small scarab beetle, but it also could be a leaf beetle (family Chrysomelidae). Some members of both families can be generalists, feeding on a wide variety of plants, but leaf beetles are more likely to be specialists. BTW, there is a beetle that feeds preferentially on cedar, but it looks nothing like your specimen - see http://tinyurl.com/nr8mhw for an image.
