CLOSED: Free Seed for Newbies! 07/04/09 Directions to get your seed
Yes I did!! THank you!!
Good Morning
I have been without pwer for 18 hours and my email was hacked while it was out. Spam was sent to everyone in my email contact list. I am sorry if you are one of the people that were targeted. I think it is fixed now. Please let me know if you are still getting odd advertising emails from me....
THank you
OK Rick ............. thanks. Was just wondering. I love the big puffy marigolds, I think they are called Gold Amazon, but are a bright yellow.
arejay, I got a email from "you" about a web site called chen-chun. I thought it was strange but I did delete it as I was not interested in the it.
yeah me either.....delete delete delete..... at least my power is back I guess ...I think whatever it was it killed my laptop...grrrrr
Sorry Arejay, crazy people out there. THE ROBIN IS FLYING!
I havent felt well for a few days now and not on much, just checking in to tell you to look for birds.
Mekos, you're gonna get everyone all excited thinking it's spring when the robin lands - lol...
Robin, I've had my Yahoo account hacked more than once through Facebook - grrrrrrrrr... So I'm constantly changing my passwords for those two accounts. Don't feel bad - last time my friends got ads for Viagra, in Canada;o)
Crit
I picked the 2 blooms that weren't bright, but they were squishy-moldy. I'll keep trying, but have my doubts.
I got some potluck "mixed marigolds" recently in a trade. If any of my Ms put out usable seeds, I can send those plus a few of my new mystery Ms.
Rain is only forcast for two of the next four days - what is this, a desert?
Corey
I get random unusual emails from loads of people, unfortunately it's often actually sent by them. I've saved two friends from hackers, mainly because I was the first to receive the spammy mail. Hope it gets all cleared up arejay.
Glad to hear the Robin is out! I'd be so much more excited about this if I didn't have the sinus headache from hell.
The punishment for hacking should fit the crime.
I would be willing to loan out my old rusty hatchet for rehabilitating hackers.
No fingers = no cyber-stalking.
Very low recidivism rate.

I'm sure glad you guys like me.... (Eyes blinking)!
Whatan idea romove the fingers of the culprit..now if only I could find "the culprit"
Don't look at me, I'm innocent this time.
It was Mit, in the library, with a rhizome!
I was on a thread and we were talking about different types of recycle items to start plants in. Someone mentioned yogurt containers. Anyone remember that or where it was? Thanks!
Good Morning Mit!!You could be rite Kelly.....I had not considered that idea...recycle there is a recycle thread Ill try to find it for you Crit...
Thanks rj .... I found the thread w/the help of a DG friend. My problem is our yogurt containers taper from small at the top to large at the bottom. How do I get the little babies out of them?
I would either snip down the side and open it up or cut it down to wear it starts to widen before you plant.
I use the store brand yogurt cups, they're tapered the right way. I also use pudding cups.
BTW the yogurt cups do hold 1 cup.

I'm a little less bloodthirsty in person ... like, "a harsh word" is difficult to get out.
When I discovered that my cat hates to be misted with a spray bottle, even that was a struggle for me to inflict. So we've settled on my shaking the sprayer at him while making a "psssst" sound with my lips. He knows he's being "punished" and runs away as if scalded.
Corey
Corey, I've found hissing to be more effective than using a sprayer. I've used it on numerous cats and they stop what they are doing right away. It surprises a few neighborhood cats.
For Delilah it's the only thing that works. Water doesn't bug her as she'll jump into the bathtub with my son or climb into the water fountain.
DON'T TELL MR. TOBY !!
That silly cat will soak his head sopping while trying to lick from a slow drip in the bathtub, or go into the rain until he's one big wet sponge, but HATES being even slightly misted ... even from a tiny perfume-srayer-like-thing.
I agree that hissing works on most cats, being their expression of anger and threat. However, I don't want to convey quite that much anger until the ( usually very cooperative) cat is being obstinant or clearly breaking a more-serious rule, like scratching furniture.
Maybe he perceives the "pretend spray noise" as being a kind of hiss, but if I don't go get the spray bottle and pretend to spray, he just looks at me like "What's yer problem, Dude? Chill out! Like I care!"
The funny thing is that he periodically goes to some trouble to "be naughty" and "get caught". Then he seems satisfied that "I'M BAAAAD" and runs off to put himself in the doghouse or evade punishement, later coming back to "be forgiven" and extra-affectionate. Sin, repent, forgive.
Until I recognized this pattern, he would be disapointed, and escalate his "naughtiness" until i caught on and scolded him.
Sometimes he used to get so frustrated with my failure to recognize that he was a defiant rascal, that he would take even a raised eyebrow as a scolding, and run off as if in fear, as if he had been punished severely. If I couldn't do it right, he would make up for my lack.
Once I figured it out, I created some arbitrary rules that he could easily violate, that I didn't care about, so he could "transgress", be "punished", be "BAAAD", "assert dominance", and then enjoy being forgiven, all without damaging anything, truly annoying me, or having to go to any great effort.
He's very tradition-minded and knows that things must always be done "The Right Way", and that any variation from policy or schedule (by himself or myself) is just WRONG. So when he breaks the rules, he knows how wrong and rascally he is being, and seems to revel in his sins. The sweetie!
He and/or I must be some kind of neurotic. But we do get along well.
Corey
I wish Delilah responded to the water bottle. For Keoni he just has to see it to stop. I usually only use those when they are in a real cat fight and fur is flying, or when they are trying to chew something they really shouldn't.
I'm trying to figure out why I've said numerous other cats. I've only use it on my two cats and an outdoor kitty who was crushing a plant I was trying to bring home.
>> I've used it on numerous cats
"Three" is a number!
Corey
I was trying to find the rules and finally did. Congrats on running a low-key, uncomplicated Robin!
>> Take out up to 5 packs and put back same amount as you take out.
I assume its OK to put in a few extra pkts?
Corey
Yes you can put in extra!!
Purple Wander Jew ....... last chance if anyone wants starts of this. It is going to be 32 or below for several nights starting Saturday. I will be letting these little babies die off if no one wants them. If you are interested, please d-mail me.
