I was cruising down hwy 219 between Newberg and St. Paul when I saw a sign......Heirloom Roses next right 2 3/4 miles. Well. that's as good or better than "YARD SALE" so I turned.
I wound around and around and every time I saw roses in someone's yard I thought..Oh is that it? Did I miss it? Then I came around another curve and my breath left me.
Roses....EVERYWHERE...on both sides of the road. Little white fences with gardens and then a big parking lot with pathways to more gardens. Like a Disneyland of ROSES. But it was 6:00pm and they were CLOSED. Like McArthur I vowed to return.
Bright and early the next morning while I was supposed to be heading on a 2 hour drive back to ......work..... I de-toured. That left me only a miniscule 1/2 hour to tour the gardens AND shop.
I toughed it out and did what I could.
I highly recommend you take several hours and do the thing right. I plan to go back. Here's the info.

I will post the pictures I got now.
The first is the front of the store area from the big parking lot across the street.

Heirloom Roses
Beautiful. What a nice place to visit and shop!
Ooh, they have Tiffany roses... I've wanted one of those for years. I'll have to try to save enough to order one, they were my Mom's favorite rose. (which may be because my real name is Tiffany, but who knows...)
I bought the Cassie because I have a Cassie and it was because of her that I was in the area to discover the place.

I discovered Heirloom a couple of years ago after a friend of mine sang their praises. They are very helpful people and will help you find the exactly the rose that you want. I'm looking forward to the day I can get down there. Thanks for the pictures.
I have not been able to visit their gardens, but I have ordered several rose bushes from them and they are amazing! They are good quality and oh so very helpful. Beautiful pics. Thanks.
