Hi All!

Kittrell, NC(Zone 7b)

It's been a while since I have been here. Hubby's health hasn't been the best in the world lately but seems to be alright now. But I just had to stop in and show this beauty off.
Emma Grace, here is your lilac rainbow:

Hi Melanie,

What a beauty.

Here is mine from this year, however, I lost this vine :-(
I've also called this one 'Texas Rainbow' because some of the colors are Turquoise and Teal

Emma, when I sent you seeds back in March 2008 from your gift that I grew out, there was one that resembled your Lilac Rainbow that you had labeled Shibori - maybe you could get this one back by growing out those seeds and selecting for the best flowers?

It had two phases, a darker earlier one and a lighter, later one. Here's the lighter, later one, and I'll follow this with a pic of both phases on the same vine.

(Meag, I had included this one in the envie of seeds I sent you in March 2008, too)

hope this is useful -

Karen, I'm sure I had the same phenomenon occur. Mine was on my
Lilac Luster from Emma. Light colored bloom similiar to yours and a Tie Dye type
looked just like yours.

Thanks, Jackie - this one sure is a heartbreakingly beautiful MG, whatever its name turns out to be

Thanks KarenB and Jackie,

I remember that Shibori MG and do want to grow it again someday. Wasn't it pretty!

Here is a new Shibori I'm growing this year #2 from a cross in 2008.
You can not tell the true colors in my photos, but the colors are Plum and Lilac with no White.

Some blooms are much larger than the others as you can see in this photo.
Again, this looks like it has Blue, bit the color is PLUM
