Scorpion like bug

i was on my bicycle today and saw (what i assumed was) a bug quite like a scorpion with no pincers - it wasent a devils coach horse cause ive seen them before on holiday

i didnt have a camera with me but it was black in colour it had a plump body that looked like a pointy bean, its tail was connected and pointing up and looked much like its body it had 6 legs its head had feelers the whole insect not including feelers was no more than 1 inch long

it was close to the water if that helps

i just drew it in ms paint (ameturly) and it would look like a fat cockroach with a stinging tail and a head with feelers
