Odd-looking little bug with fuzzy stuff on its rear end. Anyone know what it's called?
Is it a pest? I'm seeing some big chunks taken out of my moonvine and nasturtium leaves, but I'm doubting that this little guy could do that.
Probably the birds, you think? I set out some water for them. I'd read on here somewhere that birds go after vegetation and produce for the water content . . .
CLOSED: Just a leafhopper, right?
This is a nymph of a planthopper of some sort (superfamily Fulgoroidea) - see http://tinyurl.com/mdultj for an image. These all are sap feeders with piercing-sucking mouthparts, and would not be responsible for the leaf damage you mentioned.
