The picture does not show how metallic these little eggs look - any ideas on what they are?
CLOSED: Shiny gold eggs on underside of clematis leaf???
These appear to be bug (Hemiptera/Heteroptera) eggs; possibly in the family Coreidae (leaf-footed bugs) - see http://tinyurl.com/mkyf75 for an example.
Well, I sure don't need to protect them then.... I hate squash bugs! They are very destructive!
Thanks so much!!!!!
