International???????

HAYWARDS HEATH, Suss, United Kingdom

Hi, I'm from south England, and have currently diddly squat to trade with the autumnal weather that's struck.

But on a lighter note, I think that pretty well all the continents are mentioned above. It's great to see that global really does mean that! From Malaysia to Switzerland to Oz to the US of whatsit. Very impressive!

Now, any hints on how to make the sun shine in England??

Hello, I'm from the Netherlands and I am looking for seeds of common native American or Canadian plants up to zone 8. I have some seeds for trading like Impatiens cristata, Lavatera thuringiaca, Geranium thunbergii, Geranium sinense. Did not yet find the time to put them on my trading list. Please e-mail me for further details. Bye. Jan.

I am from Spain and interested to trade with people from all over. Please e-mail me since I have not my trade list at Daves Garden.

Greetings from Spain,

David

Philippines, Philippines

Hello! Greetings from the Philippines!

I grow mostly herbs. Different variety of basils and mints; rosemary, lemon scented herbs such as kaffir lime, lemon grass, lemon balm (oops, they all died!) lemon verbena (my favorite) and lemon basil; greek oregano, anise hyssop. I use them mainly for good ole italian recipes, as well as herbal tea. I love chai tea.

I am also semi-vegetarian, so I use a lot of herbs to make my veggies a bit more interesting.

I also grow Tillandsias and bromeliads. Fragrant plants, too - I am building a collection. Most of these cannot be sent via trade, such as the bromeliads and the herbs that cannot be grown from seeds but for the basils and pepper seeds, that won't be a problem.

Nice to see an international group of gardeners here!

Joshua Tree, CA(Zone 8b)

Welcome PestoGuy! And where are you from?

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Michele, if you read the whole message of posetoguy, you see that he says 'Greetings from the PHILIPPINES'

;)

Citta di Castello, UMBRIA

I'm in Umbria, Italy. My garden is just now being graded from a cornfield to something less lumpy! I will have to buy seeds to exchange, but my order from T&M was an expensive failure, so I'm interested.
Found here: zucchini tondi, round zucchinis to be picked at about 8-9 cm. If not overwatered, they are much more flavorful than the long kind. There's also one shaped like a watermelon, really nice, too.
For those in moderate climates, Agretti is a real favorite of mine. Looks like fat grass, planted in fall, cropped in spring, something entirely different and delicious.
My climate is like parts of Georgia or n Calif. It gets cold, may even snow, but the ground never freezes. Rains all winter, never rains in summer.

Chatsworth, GA(Zone 7a)

Hi Decobabe,
Drop me a note, I'm in GA, and I'll see if I have anything you'd like.

Hi Michele: it's very gratifying to hear from you.yeah.i've got the same feeling of sense:"the grass is always greener on the other side".i am,too, very interested in your native
ones and as a matter of fact, i have succeeded in trading several times with you Americans.the seeds are included in
Jacob's ladder, sweet william,black-eyed susan...and the morning glory.i am planning to have it at my garden edges to see which one is to be growing higher and faster, when compared with the chinese one.instead i sent my garden friends in your country some native ones --winter sweet, ginseng, balsam, crape myrthe, red bud, peony, camellia, straw
-berry,noble clivia, yangtao, chinese belamcanda... Fun! the seeds flied over the ocean to reach you and me.
cultivating plants makes me a cultivated man!
by the way, the snail letter postage from me to you is about 8.50 chinese dollars(Yuan),and from you to me,about
3 US dollars.my seed list will appear within 20 days.be seeing you.

Gilmer, TX

I am so glad I checked this thread. I have traded with a number of you . I teach emotionally disturbed children in TEXAS. I have been looking for seeds from all over the world for a spring project in our world geography class. Today, I found someone from Africia, the only continent we didn't have. We have seed to trade from a science project last year and seeds from my garden. We will be looking for trades thru planting time next spring. Please check my list and see if you find anything. We aren't picky.
Thanks,
Pam

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Catlady, will you 'grow' a big garden with the seeds then? Let me know when they arrive ok? :)

Gilmer, TX

Evert, Good to hear from you again. No, we will not have a garden at school. We are going to draw a biggggggggggg world map. We will plant our seeds in little pots with trays and then put them on the countries they come from. The kids (grades 9-12) will take their plants home to their gardens at the end of school or if they are ready, sooner. They are so excited. Most had good luck with the plants they took home last year, so they are ready to go again. I've warned them some of these seeds might be a little tricky, but you know youth, they are very optimistic. I will be sure to post our results in the late spring.
