re the plane that crashed in the wood

do you think that Bush gave the go-ahead to shoot it down in order to save many by sacrificing the few?

just a thought and this is the last I will comment on what has happened.

There were reports in the news this past few days that there was in fact authorization to take it down if it was known to be on track for another building. I believe Dick Cheney (Vice President) said it.

I live not too terribly far from the crash site, and no, I don't believe that it was shot down by a military aircraft.

There were quite a few eyewitnesses to the plane doing all kinds of twists and turns in the air before it slammed into the ground.

No, it was NOT shot down, but there was authorization to shoot it down if need be. It was crashed by the heroes on board (passengers)...once they learned what the real plan was for the plane.

Yes, i think he did, I don't think he had any other choice, at that point... thank goodness that isn't what happened, though... I wouldn;t want to have to have made that decision nor be the one to have to carry it out.... still the thought of those that lost their lives there saddens me- especially with all the rumors (and most likely fact) out there that they overtook the highjackers and that's why the plane crashed where it did....

I don't have a brilliant mind!!! But the first thing that did occur to me when I heard of this crash was that there must have been a struggle on board which caused the early demise of this plane and the passengers. It was so brave of those men to do what they had to do. I heard on the news that two men who normally worked at the Pentagon were actually on that fatal plane. So these poor devils were doomed on all sides. It is heartbreaking!!

True, Louisa, true!!! Yet, it still amazes me at how humans rise above the face of adversity and show our real hearts- what a sacrifice they did for who know how many!!!!

I have just watched the women who lost their husbands on that plane - the heroes!!!! They were being interviewed by a BBC news reporter. Two telephone calls to the wives told how they were going to do something and one of them asked for his wife's blessing. She told him to go for it. She has three children!! I am still tearful.

Yes they certainly were heroes. If there had been just a little more time I think that more people would have risen up on the other planes too!

Did anyone see whe that news reporter asked Pres. Bush if that was a difficult desicion. I wish he had put that guy in his place. Come on do they think the man doesnt have a heart?!
