I found this in my weeping peach tree this morning. Might it be a nymph of some sort? It's about 1/4" long.

Not a nymph, but a true fly (order Diptera); perhaps a long-legged fly in the family Dolichopodidae - see http://tinyurl.com/mvu5dl for an example.
