This is hanging under an over-hang of one of our outdoor buildings. It looks like there may be an empty wasp nest inside of it. We discovered it at the beginning of spring. Probably was there last year, but we didn't notice it until this year.
Is it made by a particular spider/bug that preys on wasp larva ?

Bald-faced Hornet, White-faced Hornet (Dolichovespula maculata)
