I have an erythrostemma, but I am not sure which one - came to me with about 5 other mislabeled cuttings, and until it blooms, I don't know. And it may never bloom! From what I have heard they like warmth and lots of light. I have a nice obovata too, in a 8" hanger pot, obovata is one of my favorites. I put 4 rooted cuttings in the one pot, and it took a few years but is now growing beautifully, bloomed for the past two years. I treat it like I would a carnosa or most of my hoyas, I water only when dry. If you can wait for cooler weather, I'd be happy to send you a cutting.
Edited to add -
no, obovata is not extremely fragrant. Just a little bit of scent. You have to remember though, everyone's nose is different! The flowers are beautiful, and they not only last a while, but my plant has been blooming since the end of spring, so the bloom time is long.

I haven't detected a fragrance at all.........my favorite fragrance is lacunosa...........just permeates the whole front porch when she is blooming............
I remember 1gardengram/Diane. She was a sweet lady and had a lot of friends here on DG. I know she is missed greatly. I think I remember her daughter joining DG and posting after her mom passed away. That's a nice Hydrangea you have Rain ... a great remembrance to a lovely lady. I love Hydrangea's ... they are so pretty. My dear MIL had some really huge hydrangeas in her garden in Orlando back in the 1960's. I have tried over the years to grow them but have had no luck keeping them alive.
I love Hoya carnosa ... an old tried and true, easy plant! One of my carnosa's is getting ready to bloom.
Love your plants, Lin.........good for you!
I don't have any Eriostemma's yet ... want to get cv. optimistic!
Gail: Hoya lacunosa is one of my favorite of all hoyas because it seems to bloom almost year round and has the most wonderful fragrance!
