Lynn - you've been holding out! Your green & white NOID almost looks like Irish Flirt.
What do you think the name is on this one?
June Flowers III
Thanks Gail. That could be it.It does have large foliage, but the color seems a little deeper.
Syru,
The picture looks really familiar.I need to think. The noid has a little pink in the center of the blossoms.
Oh, I knew it as soon as I saw it (confirmed by FC2). Now I just want to see who else can name it. ^_^
No Gail,it's not quite the same.
Syru. I recoginized it right away too and I think I have a picture of it.I just can't think....as usual LOL.
Syrumani...your mystery violet looks like Splatter Kake.
Love all the EE's, WildRose. I'll have to try them next year. What size pots do you grow them in?
ibrabec, you may not have been growing for the last 20 years but you sure haven't lost your touch. I'm so glad you are growing again as I so enjoy seeing all you have accomplished in such a short time. Beautiful.
Thanks GL.That's such a nice thing to say.Now if I could only keep a Boston Fern alive more than two years!! LOL
Syru,
I am dmailing you a picture.Let me know if I'm right!!
Never mind Syru!! The foliage is wrong for my guess.
If it will make you feel better, I can't keep a Boston Fern pretty and our humidity is sky high here..............I did find out when I worked in a greenhouse that we fertilized all ferns with

Oh, I have to stop looking so closely at all the strep pics, can't be falling in love with those right now....but my aren't the little polka dots on Laura cute. You all really grow some gorgeous plants! I hope I am able to do half as well with all my new violets
Lynn, I was so excited to see your pic of Green Dragon. Just got one last week, a healthy little starter plant. I hadn't looked it up yet so had no idea what to expect....am looking forward to it being as pretty as yours!
This little baby is a standard "Lillian in Lace" ...I love the foliage, it is gorgeous, and it is starting to get some tiny new leaves in the center, so I guess it likes me....Does anyone have a photo of one blooming against the foliage? The only pics I found online are just of the flowers, no leaves.

Here is an Ebay picture of it!

Connie,
You always sound so joyful when you post...I can't think of any other way to put it.I agree Goldleaf is a fantastic grower (and photographer) (SP?) and a great help to us all.^_^. This is a a great bunch of people and I received warm acceptance right away.
My name is really Linda, but nobody has ever called me that!!
I bought my first Gessie,in probably the early- mid 70's (a florist Gloxinnia). It was love at first site.I grew everything I could get my hands on and was lucky enough to have a wonderful lady with a home and mailorder business take me under her wing.I also joined all the societies (SP?).I gave up growing about 1986,but I always knew I would go back someday and early this year I did!!
Hi Linda...! Just thought I'd be the first to call you that. My name is Jennifer, a few ppl here know that, but most don't. Thanks so much for the ebay link...not sure if mine is the "frilly leaf version" - too hard to tell when they are so small! I guess only time will tell..
I agree that there are ALOT of really nice people here, and it is so great to have a place to come to share our hobbies with others. Not all forums, even on one website, are the same. I think this one is one of the nicest on Daves!

I always have to get my daily dose of the AV forum .............or life is just not quite complete^_^
Linda ............ a very lovely name for a very lovely person , and thank you for you nice comments , my thoughts come from what I see and read and I see that all here are very nice inside and out and care about helping friends they have found here .............we all just have so much fun :)
Connie :)
Beautiful Remembering John, Laura!
Laura, you have two of my favorite gessies! Green Dragon is so much fun to grow and Remembering JOhn has to be at the top of the list for pretty streps.
Laura,
I love Remembering John!! One day I intend to get one!
Jennifer and Connie,
Hello there and please call me Lynn.....I forgot how to answer to anything else LOL.
Thanks guys! Where do you think I heard aboutit?? From all of YOU!!!! When it gets larger I will gladlyshare leaves!
I am dividing all streps and I always have to have several Remembering John.........it is amazing how many crowns can be found in one pot of streps!!
Gail, how are your plants? Are they recovering ok??? I hope so!!! Yours are sooo pretty!!!
Laura
They didn't really recover but I am dividing all of them and changing the soil so there won't be any leftovers of the massive doses of Seaweed Kelp I ruined them with.................I have been repotting and dividing for several days and am beginning to make a dent in them.......
Thanks for asking............it is so much fun to take one plant and make 7 new ones............I have totally run out of gro space, but that isn't stopping me. It is amazing how I can keep pushing and shoving around on the shelves to make more fit! ^_^
Fortunately, it didn't seem to hurt the really big ones or the new ones from David Thompson.........they had such bigger root systems............but I am going to repot them just for safety sake...............besides, I am on a roll loving this dividing. Don't you wish you could take one dollar and make 7 dollars out of it (LOL)
I know what you mean! To make more plants or to grow something from a seed (which by the way I am now over pretty muchLOL) tend to it makes me smile on the inside as well as the outside!! I have actually divided acouple of plants andthey are still living (knockon wood)!!
If you figure out howtomake that dollar grow, Ihope you willbe kind enough to share that too!! Can we cut it and put it indirt too??
I'm glad you are making lemonade out of lemons with your plants!! Enjoy!!!!
Laura H
Thanks for the encouragement, Laura!!! It is so much fun to divide them, put them in new soil and watch them take off..................(domed of course) as I am pretty hard on the root systems when I divide.....smiling
Karen, I love that picture of the girls in the field! I hope you had that one framed. ^_^
I only have a few things that are finally starting to bloom, but I'm so happy to have any flowers at all, I'm gonna share them even if they are little and only have one or two blooms. LOL They'll fill out now that I fed them.
Here's Sinningia 'Scoundrel' x self
