The summer solstice is almost upon us. I love the long days.

The Summer Solstice: Summer has begun by the almanac, but the light is already leaning toward Fall.

A good name for this stretocarpus...'Night Beacon'.

I agree Goldleaf... I so love the long days of summer!

Not a gessie photo (but maybe it is, as my oldest daughter's name is Jessie!)
But is what long summer days are all about!

What an awesome photo! Captures summer perfectly with the light. I feel as if I am right there walking behind the girls.

I don't have alot right now, but here goes . . .

This one so wants to be a fantasy! You can see it more in person. I just don't think it's gonna make it! This is the Playful Rainbow (not) from last fall.

One of my favorite non-gessie plants is the Elephant Ear. I tried to find several varieties this year, to put on my balcony. This is what I have...

This is as good as it gets for my close up skills - Hoya Camphorifolia. This little bunch of flowers is only as big around as a quarter, each one is so tiny, and the perfect shade of pink. I definitely recommend this hoya is you like hoyas. It isn't too big, grows well, and right now the sun is turning the pretty veined leaves a bronzey color, which looks really pretty with the pink

PS those big leaves around it are not it's leaves, they belong to H. cinnamomfolia

Thanks Gail.She came from Jannich.
I didn't mean post so many, but I thought I would go ahead while I had the time.I am not sure if the first K. Laura I posted is my picture or someone elses...sorry.

It is mine.It was before she had this many blooms.Does anyone know if you save a picture from DG,that says, copyright Gessiegail (for instance),if it will keep the original persons name on it.I would hate to post someone elses picture with my name on it.

Oh that 'Hilo Beauty' is really something special!!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

No one cares anyway, Lynn..........it does keep the name but if you need a picture of something that someone has, they can send it to you by regular email and it won't have the name. Only if it comes from DG will it have a name on it.

Jannich and I bought big surprise boxes from Gary Mikita last year and we both got Flair.....

Maybe you have Cherry Pie, Lynn, with your streptocarpus.
