My Alstroemeria's don't go dormant until winter here. They're still putting out blooms and have been for over a month. But we do have milder summers here in the PNW then much of the country. I'd be frustrated if mine went dormant in the summer too.

Ok just who had to start this thread?? I have wanted different ones from the one I have and now I have drooled so much I have shorted out my keyboard.

There must be somewhere seeds are sold and for not a lot of money. I love these things. And want them all.

That orange is beautiful.

It could be they can't take the heat so in our area they some up and live when it is cooler and bloom in may before the triple digits hit like this yr. Nice to see something adapts. I love pansies and don't bother with them just from oct-may. up North they took the freeze and came back down here just like me they die in the heat.

I need to water and it is just too hot. I have to get my soaker hoses put out.

I also have wanted others for a long time! I have had trouble finding plants or seeds of the really pretty ones. I have had this one for 2 years

I've had pretty good luck getting some off of e-bay last year...
The Jazze Series Rose Frost for a decent price..
gave pieces away and tried to over winter the rest but so far i'm not seeing it....
I keep trying..so far only lucky with Sweet Laura and now a NOID one she called Alstroemeria Sans??
No idea..it's still small and hoping it survives..
