How can such a little, innocent thing like you be having a birthday?

I think of you like a flower elf--that lives under rocks--occasionally hurls them....

Throw all you want! It's your BIRTHDAY!

Have a happy one.

Clarkson, KY

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Now the question is: did Dr Doolittle post her pic because 1) This is Cousin Nut's B-Day present 2) A new friend has been adopted or 3) She is trying to confuse with the sheep/goat thing.

ps I think it is a Goat (banking on the non-curlicious, hornedness)

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)

Happy Birthday Grownut....

Sheep, definitely. Based on a towering bulwark of profound ignorance. From which goats may peer down at grownut's birthday celebrations.

Will you have a ferris wheel? Cotton candy?

Clarkson, KY

There's a winner....first ever Ferris Wheel Under Rock...Who's game?
Loving all the beautiful pics, y'all! Sheep's my bet.

You sure are makin' my day though, I must say!!!

Moxy (sorry Claire, I LIKE that 'un!!) is trying to lure me all the way irrevocably into sheep-sticity...I've been a goat only, fiber coveter for
too long and she knows it!!

Lumberton, TX(Zone 8b)

Sending you a whole party! Happy birthday, and watch out for Claire!!! She might send you a flock for a gift!!!

She would, wouldn't she?! Hmmm...if I don't complain until too late, what would DH do?!

Lodi, United States

Grownut, it is only because "sheep may safely graze" while goats browse hazardously and with chaotic disregard for subterranean Big Wheels. Moxon has your back on this special day.

Clarkson, KY

Where angels fear to tread?....My goats would LOVE the ferris wheel...hmmmm....

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Ah you all crack me up. Thanks for that! It is an Icelandic sheep and I was just posting it for fibery deliciousness. Goats do indeed browse chaotically. Sheep are even used for vineyard pruning in some vineyards because they do not reach up to eat, like goats. Goats will get on their hind legs to reach for branches. Sheep eat at eye level (most of them) and prune the lower portion of the vines, which is what the vintner wants, and this means less labor to be hired.

Grow, why don't you start a vineyard so that you can have sheep to test this theory?!

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL I love it when you guyz get goin..

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)

So True ZZ, I could read them all day long

(Zone 7b)

Claire i saw all your lovely wool on the other site and just wanted to say how beautiful it is ;o)

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

ARRRGH!!!! Those pesky sheeps/goats impersonations hurt my head!!! From now on I'm assuming everything is a yak. Your Icelandic yak is very prettiful Dr. Doolittle. Is it a boy yak?

Clarkson, KY

----it don't talk back!! Must be somethin' else....

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Thank you Harmony! I'm such a wool addict now.

No Dahlianut, it is a girl Icelandic sheep-yak. The boy yak has much, much bigger, curlier horns. That particular sheepyak is now sheared and very much different looking as a result.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Talkin about wool.. I saw your sock Claire.. LMHO

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

You did?! Why are you laughing.....? It must be absolutely divine....I am sure of it!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Where is the pic of the sock!?!?!?!? I wanna see the divine sock!!!!

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

I'm sorry I got off topic.. My mind wanders.. you know.. it's the wut wut babiez that get me all fuzzy..

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)

I want to see the sock too....

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

oops methinks we have wandered away with Cousin Nut's B Day thread. Happy B Day wassails still coming your way Cousin Nut ^_^ (but I still wanna see the divine sock!)

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

No sock.. there is no sock... I'm sorry.. I must have had a dream..

It's a Happy Birthday thread.. A singing Dancing happy birthday to you Grownut thread..

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

The sock must remain a mystery.

Joining in the birthday dance now...

Lodi, United States

I believe we must forego the mystery of the Divine Sock on this, The Great and Terrible Day of Grownut.

Suffice it to say that should she ever require one--or two--they would be forthcoming.

And now: Let the revels resume!
