pincushion, marigold, blanket flower how to's
These three are all from the daisy family There's a good description about how seeds develope in the database. http://davesgarden.com/plants/go/416.html
Pincushion & blanket flower both develop a bristly type ball. The seeds are connected at the central disc. When the they're ripe they'll come off easily from the disc. They're wedge shaped and light brown or tan colored.
Marigold seeds develope inside the bract after the flowers have browned up. You'll be able to pull them out easily when they're ripe. They'll be thin, about an inch long, and dark brown or black on the end that's attached to the flower. Light staw colored on the other end.
