Trying to pin down an ID on this Dragonfly. It's a fairly large one..
I've searched (including under "yellow tail") but just can't seem to find it.
Thanks!
Deb
CLOSED: Dragonfly with yellow tail
There are more than one species in the family Libellulidae that can have this general color pattern. My best guess is that this could be a female great blue skimmer, Libellula vibrans - see http://tinyurl.com/mqlpc8 - this species exhibits considerable variation in coloration.
That certainly seems like the one, Suunto.
Thanks so much!
Deb
