CLOSED: CLOSED: A Whole Nest Found

SE Houston (Hobby), TX(Zone 9a)

I encountered a new bug and have a pic, but the Bugfiles forum seems very daunting. Don't wanna hijack a thread but need 2 know as work in the area won't be completed til I know what it is. Please tell me how to and where I post pic for an answer? Thanks. Please rush reply!

This is the right place, this is the ID forum... can you get any more better pics? I will see what I can find, but that picture doesn't show much. Maybe someone else can recognize it though

I was curious as to what you'd found...had to run over and take a peek....

This is the exact place you need to be to get an answer. If you've got a bit clearer image, I'm sure that will help our bug folks.

This looks more like the front end of a stick insect (a.k.a. 'walkingstick'); order Phasmida; A clearer photo would be necessary for a positive i.d. as at least 16 species of these insects are known to occur in Texas. Only one is of real concern, namely Anisomorpha buprestoides, the southern two-striped walkingstick, or "spitting devil" - see http://tinyurl.com/ljdchw for an image. This insect can squirt a strong-smelling defensive spray from glands near its head that is painfully irritating to the eyes and mucous membranes.
