Height Issues...

My husband and I just noticed that this particular plant just shot up :)... It's the only one this tall. That's a 36-inch ruler/yardstick(?) next to it. Do they really grow this tall? It's a white asiatic lily with spectacular fragrance...

By the leaves, it is probably an oriental. The others look like asiatics. Asiatics don't generally have a fragrance. I'm not that knowledgeable about the LAs and LOs, although I've planted some LOs this year and cannot wait to see them bloom.

Don't be surprised to see it grow even taller. It does not look unhappy or like it is leaning to get sun. It will bloom later than the asiatics, and you'll have flowers for a longer period. Enjoy.

Omg'ness :) sorry- Asiatic=Oriental, they all sound the same to me!:) Plus I just started growing lilies last year so I'm as green as they come! All the others are about the same height or shorter than the one next to it... We're thinking it sorta sucked all the nutrients from the others that's why they look a little rundown this year...

It has the look of an Orienpet to me... :) They are very sturdy lilies. :)

Boy, 1 of my Avacado from the co-op last year really grew and is taller than me...not that I am that tall..5 feet.
