I have too many brown dead branches on my junipers; should I cut off only the brown parts, or the whole branch back to the stem? Once you cut off a branch it is gone, right? I mean, some bushes rejuvenate by cutting them back, but I don't think this is true with junipers? I would just be pruning for appearance?
Pruning dead branches from juniper bushes
I had to do that this year. Too much snow on them over the winter. I just cut the brown off so they don't look so awful. If the branch isn't dead, maybe new growth will appear, but I don't know. Not much help, sorry.
