I have a tradescantia in a pot and I was going to plant it in the ground. I see it now has poison ivy growing in it. I am told that even the stem and roots of poison ivy are toxic. Would I be advised to throw away the plant rather than risk trying to kill the ivy and get the roots out from the trandescantia roots? Is it easy to kill or will it come back?
