i.e.
sealing the mat if not already done for you

basecoating the entire mat with medium value blue

when dry marking off a 3" border

taping off the border - tape on the outside of the insert-make sure your tape has been burnished
so not leakage..fingernail or somethig flat, maybe quarter run along edge will do

smooshing color to give a mottled look to the background

Remove tape


LET DRY

. trace pattern and give several coats of beige/off white to your snowman outline
excluding note, eyes and mouth, these will be set on once your face has dried

when dry go to the section above that says how to dry brush cheeks
